We asked the builder to add an island in the kitchen and some additional lights. So we spent the weekend finding the perfect fridge and pendant lamps. Who knew buying a new fridge could be so exciting?! What sold us was the little chime it makes when you press the buttons for ice or water. We are having it delivered the day we close, so hopefully by the time the ink dries it will be waiting for us. The island is going to take a few weeks to make since we're having the granite cut differently than the plans show. But it's going to make the kitchen perfect for entertaining. We're excited to host a party in our new home!
As much fun as fridge shopping is, our to do list isn't getting any shorter. Not to mention, we need to get serious about packing. And I wouldn't complain if our other house sold asap. The 2nd mortgage is starting to make me uncomfortable. Every additional mortgage payment we make on the 1st mortgage could be used towards the new house or the adoption fund.
But I trust everything will work out and soon. Excited for what's to come!
