National Infertility Awareness Week

It's that time again. Because 1 in 8 is someone you know: www.resolve.org.

This particular week has been memorable two years in a row. Oddly enough, life changing events have happened during this time. Last year at this time we learned the intial IVF failed. We were devastated, yet still determined. This year we learned the 7th and 8th IUIs failed. We were devastated, yet no longer determined.

This week marks some of the worst moments of our married life and it's all because of infertility. While we hope to spread understanding and remove the taboo behind infertility, our journey through this 5 year nightmare has forever altered our lives.

The past couple of weeks have been difficult, but everyday I've been able to make small steps towards more happiness. With a wonderfully supportive husband, family and friends, I have lots of support to get back to the person I used to be.
