My drug of choice

Whenever I need an escape, music is how I get there. Incubus and Brandon Boyd are the perfect remedy for that. I love the genius of Brandon and his wide range of artistic ability. Honestly, if I could, I would have his baybee.

Well If I could. And if I wasn't married to Kyle. And if Brandon Boyd was just some regular guy. There's so many ifs...

Either way, he's incredibly talented. Every guy in Incubus is actually. I'm drawn to their music that doesn't fit any genre or expectations. They're not commercialized and catchy. In fact, you rarely hear them on the radio.

Everything they've written since way back in the 90's is just as awesome to listen to as the newest release for their upcoming album. Not to mention the lyrics! The beautiful, twisted words that provoke thought and reflect life at it's highest highs and lowest lows. And when I love something...I love it without fail. Incubus is no exception. I suspect I'll still be reciting the words when I'm old and gray. I couldn't see myself any other way.

My past is perilous
But each scar I bear sings
Monuments to where I have been
And melodies to where I am going
