A little longer

We had every intention of trying for IUI #7 with my OBGYN this cycle, but after some delays and problems, we'll be waiting a little longer. We decided to wait till next month, because by my calculations, I would probably ovulate on a Saturday and that would be a logisitical problem; something we definitely want to avoid to keep the stress level down. I called the cyro bank where we are have our current donor and asked for a few more choices to look out so we could decide if we wanted to pick a different donor. There is another donor that we are considering using if the next IUI doesn't work.

We decided we would try the IUI with my OBGYN using our current donor the next cycle. If the IUI doesn't work then we will try it again with the other donor we like and are considering doing it with the other infertility Dr. in the area. We figured 4 more tries, one with the current donor and three with the other donor, would be enough. If all those fail, then we'll go back to IVF one more time with the other infertility doctor. We feel if we don't try it one more time under different circumstances, we would be giving up too soon.

In the meantime, we are contacting the social services so we can get started on the adoption process through the foster care system. We hope 2010 is our year!
