Moving right along

I was never so happy as to get a visit from my "Aunt Flo." After the IVF we received all the paperwork and I ordered the meds for the FET cycle thinking it would happen sooner than later. So I called my IVF lady right away, excited to learn when we would schedule everything. She altered the dates slightly to accommodate the day I started and allow the transfer to be during the week.

Next week the first appointment will be very similar to the first day of stimulation with the IVF cycle. I will be having an ultrasound, blood work, and mock transfer. Then the following week I will have another ultrasound and blood draw before the transfer on the 5th. Very exciting!!!

The timing couldn't be better. After the transfer I'll have the entire weekend for my mandatory bed rest. Then the next week we'll be going to the Incubus concert!!!!! We were able to get really, really awesome seats. After the concert we pack up and leave for Roanoke/Blacksburg for five days. The two week wait will fly by for sure.

So far the estrogen patches have been easy. I've only had to wear two at one time, but that changes tomorrow. They definitely leave a mark after they are removed, but as long as I vary where I place them my skin has time to recover. The rest of the meds start next week, so the ease of patches every other day is about to change. But I can't complain. This is far easier than all the injections!

I'm preparing myself emotionally so I don't get overwhelmed like I did with the IVF. I'm almost mentally and emotionally ready. Counting the days...
