First Days of Spring Break

On Friday I left school around 4 which is really early for me. Unfortunately, my room looks like I'm not coming back. I packed up every possible thing I would need and brought it all home. I had originally planned not to do any school work over my break, but reality hit and I realized I would have no choice. But on the bright side, I brought home enough stuff to plan for the next 3 weeks. So maybe I won't have to keep staying till 6 in the coming weeks.

Kyle's cousin, who's a local college student, came down to stay with us this weekend. Friday night we hit up our favorite Mexican restaurant, before returning home to rewatch the first episode of the final season of Friday Night Lights. After the show was over we played tripoley for a few hours until we old people decided to call it a night.

Saturday morning, I got up early to go on a shopping spree at the outlets. I came home with a bunch of new tops, a dress, and a skirt from the Gap, Ann Taylor, and my absolute favorite, Banana Republic. We stopped for lunch at the famous Chickahominy House and dined on their fantastic chicken and dumplings and apple crumble pie.
Then I went curtain fabric shopping for the kitchen. I found some material that might be a winner. So now I need to find a design for the three totally different windows that are in the kitchen. After I returned home, we had a tripoley rematch until the wee hours of the morning. I can't remember the last time I stayed up that late. We didn't roll out of bed until 11 this morning, which was a flash back to college!

Sunday had us heading down to beach. The sun felt so nice and the ocean was a beautiful hue of blue. We enjoyed some barbecue and more shopping before calling it a day. Kyle's back to reality tomorrow. I'm still thinking I've got to get up and go to work. Although I won't be in my classroom, I will be busy. My sis-in-law and I are going hunting for the last few plants I need for the front flower beds. Then I'm hoping to get them all in the ground before Kyle's softball practice. With the exception of the beds we've already established by the porch, our yard is looking rough. I'm so excited to get to planting tomorrow! So far it's been a fun few days, but I'm looking forward to the coming week!
